Supporting Charities

Social Workline has always supported a number of different charities.

Our most recent major projects include:

  • Building two health clinics with initial running costs in Africa in partnership with Support for Africa, offering primary healthcare, awareness, education, information, dietary advice and counselling for AIDS.

  • Investing in access to safe water and sanitation facilities in 32 impoverished settlements in India around Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior in partnership with WaterAid, benefiting some 20,000 people in total.

  • Building a centre in Poznan, Poland in partnership with L'Arche to support around 32 local people with learning difficulties - 12 live in and the rest visiting daily. Members will be prepared for real jobs locally as well as rehabilitation and social activities.

  • Acts of Hope currently run a primary school in Bangalore, India for over 300 street and poor children. We are funding the building of a secondary school plus 5 years' running costs for them which will benefit up to a further 400 children.
